It is a shame that newspapers are making a mockery of themselves if you do not live in Bulawayo and read the chronicle you would think that Bulawayo is the promised land The newspaper sees only good and good and only government good yet it fails to take note that for the so called STEM it is making so much noise about, it is only for the people in Manicaland Mashonaland and Harare plus those in Mashonaland and Mashonaland East Central and Central again
can answers to this be availed

1. How will students in Mat North benefit from this stem? nonsense when they are not so many schools that offer sciences, you will say to me there is St James John Talach etc. these schools are not attended by people from those regions it is Bulawayo parents who can afford to send their children to boarding there, take not these are not government Schools

2. is Marondera a province maybe I did not pass my ordinary levels and I do not know about it. Wrong i passed them explain then how it is that Marondera not a province has a Zimdef office yet it is only 40 km away from Harare where there is a Zimdef office yet is Beitbridge 400+ ks away Vic Falls 400+ ks away tsholotsho 150+ ks away Binga 430+ks away Nkayi 100 + ks away

3. The economy is already strained the son or daughter of a politician or business man who can afford still has a chance to compete with the offspring of farmers retrenched workers bonus less civil servants and even the son of a disabled war veteran what are we doing

4. we are saying lets promote sciences education i agree very correct and noble. Why then are we underpaying our doctors engineers and all the scientist agricultural scientists graduates are languishing in poverty and unemployment where will these stemitised kids go to WE SHALL EXPORT THEM, i am ashamed that we have become inhuman if we start to view our children as animals and horses that we rear to export is that not a brain drain??

5. where will the money to pay for their education come from a raise in tax ??? maybe, or donors maybe??? or it will rain from the sky maybe this however I am sure the money that was deducted from your payslip in one form or another or from the toll gate will find its way there but then who am I to question how the money is used. however what i can question is the wisdom of giving out money when none is coming in
do not get me wrong the program is good however it has issues such as above. it is a program ahead of its time it should be shelved until such a time when Zim has learnt a few lessons on economics and law and as well as how to attract and retain Direct Foreign Investment believe it or not China looked west for economic growth its laws have suffered a lot of modification to accommodate the west For the Naive minds that need proof of the obvious is NIKE a Chinese brand hell no!!! if you think of most of the nike outfits you have seen they are made in china think about this is an American multinational corporation that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services. I respectfully submit that yes it is a good idea yes we are happy about it, yes the kids will learn yes we shall pay taxes for that yes the poor will not get preference, yes the money is there Im kidding it is not there is no money this is a project way beyond its time. if this was done when we had a shortage of science educated people and we had employed all of them i would say a double yes but at the moment we would rather think of how to accommodate those recently graduated, then stem later
just wondering why the newspaper did not see it fit to note that mat south mart north and Bulawayo have to share one office which is at times 400+ kilometers away when Harare and Marondera offices are only 40 ks away from each other or its just co incidence

State of the art abattoir in Gwanda

Mr Eggs Asima of Farm Harvest a beneficiary of the Municipality of Gwanda’s Local Incentives On Agro-processing Manufacturing has set up a state of the art abattoir in the Gold city of Matabeleland.

The incentive by M.O.G stipulates that there shall be 25% discount on land sale, additional 10% for outright cash payment towards land value to those who want to invest in town in the above mentioned line of business and if construction commences within 12 months there shall be 100% waiver of developmental fees

With a farm in West Nicholson Mr Asima former General Manager of Pretoria Portland Company, started as a cattle rancher supplying beasts to local butcheries

“After selling a few beasts from our own farm we thought we could do better thus when we thought of having a butchery” he said

However he went on to tell how the mind of an abattoir came up

“after realising we can stretch our wings further we decided to have our own abattoir so we can cut costs and be a supplier of other butcheries including ours, we hence approached the municipality for land in 2013”

Upon approaching the council for land with the mind of negotiating Mr Asima found the incentives on offer

He however bought 11.5 hectares of land at the Hampden industrial site, cash payment for the land making him a recipient of full benefits of the investment incentive

The Class B abattoir has the capacity of slaughtering 50 beasts a day, and currently is currently the leading supplier of meat to butcheries, supermarkets and restaurants around the town

Speaking to Gwanda Town Clerk Priscilla Nkala showered praises to the abattoir by saying

“Asima has made life easier for nearby farmers who used to travel as far as Bulawayo in search of an abattoir as it is now within their peripherals and this is one line of business we lacked in town”

“however we do call for other investors to insetivise in other sectors like hospitality to come an invest in town as these are real” said Nkala

Eggs Asima is a proud winner of Zimbabwe Chamber of Commerce Rural Business person of the year in 2013.

Gwanda- Commercial sex workers in Gwanda are allegedly to be making a killing out of sperms they get from their unsuspecting  clients.

Most of the sex workers interviewed did not deny the allegations saying 15ml of sperms was going for US$ 25. They said their buyers were haulage truck drivers who take the sperms to South Africa where they would re-sell to other foreign nationals.

                             

One sex worker identified as Chipo said she is now residing at a local hotel where she was making quick money from clients who pay her US$ 5 for the usual business.

“We are making a lot of money out of selling sperms. I always make sure that I use a female condom since at times I run a loss as some of my clients don’t want to leave behind their used condoms, so using a female condom has become a good strategy,” she said.

"Prostitution is paying here in Gwanda I have invited my cousin who failed her O’level in 2013 to come and join me in business, and she can also testify that business is good here. There is nothing to complain about accommodation is very cheap here at this hotel," she added.

This reporter was informed that truck drivers give special containers with the sex workers which would be used for the safe storage of the 'product'.

Although the real reason for buying sperms could not be immediately established, it was widely believed that they are being used for either juju or manufacturing some expensive cosmetics that makes the skin to become smooth.

Takawira to battle for UBO tittle

Middleweight boxer Edmos ‘pitbull’ Takawira is set to battle the Tanzanian champion Thomas Mashali for a Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) middleweight title (belt) in June this year.

Takawira is currently in camp in preparation for a match scheduled for the 22^nd of this month against Babeguy Chimanga of Democratic Republic of Congo in Lusaka Zambia, said the title match means a lot to him and will add weight to his career

 “My battles go and on but fighting for the UBO title will highlight my career, its every boxer’s dream to turn professional, get a stable and manager, fighting for and winning a belt” he said

“I am focused and ready to break bones’ said Takawira as he shed a smile on his face

He went on to highlight that he has reduced weight and gone back to the division he started with.

“I myself used to be a number one contender for light heavy weight but I have shed weight and go down to middleweight division, of which this is the division I started with when I turned professional in 2001” said Takawira

Takawira once fought for a light middle weight national title in 2003 against Modecai Ngwenya, and for a middle weight champion in 2007.

He started representing the country in 2008 when he fought against the South African Champion Tshepang Mohale, in 2010 he battled in a catch weight match against the Democratic Republic of Congo Heavy weight champion Postolo Matamba. In 2013 he fought Namibian World Boxing Organization champion Vikapita 'beastmaster' Meroro.

He went on to tell that boxing was his life and is making a living out of it

“Between and boxing and boxing there is a lifelong affair, when my age mates enrolled into colleges I picked up a pair of gloves, I am not dumb and I don’t regret it as I am loving what I am doing at the same time making a living out of it, although I get punched in the face in every match I am moved when I put smiles and entertain people” said Takawira

EXECUTIVE IS ASLEEP

 Masvingo- Masvingo Senator Misheck Marava pointed out that the executive is asleep in office.

 

Addressing a crowd of media practitioners at the belated World Press Freedom Day commemorations held at the Civic Centre on the 9^th of April 2015 the MDC-T aligned Senator said that

“The executive is asleep that is the reason why they haven’t attended to any bills that have been surrendered to them’’

He went on to point out that they are a plus or minus 400 bills that have been surrendered to the executive so they can be re aligned or revised. None of the bills have been submitted to the house of Senate as to consider them.

However this leaves one with question on who to blame as he went on to state that the senators were back in office for the first time this year.

“When we went back to office two weeks ago we didn’t see anything from the executive” said Marava

Socio-political philosopher Jowere Mukusha went on to say that the Zimbabwean politicians are full of bucket chemistry

“In Zimbabwe the politicians are full of bucket chemistry they want to fix everything at once and its impossible this is evidenced by the 400 bills they are sitting on they should attend on problem at a time” said Mukusha

The commemorations were graced by the presence of the city father Hubert Fidze.
